Anyone out here get adjusted frequently? I go once every couple months to make sure everything is clicking right.

Today he adjusted my neck for the first time ever, though.

Holy Mother of God.

There was a split second there when I was convinced he just snapped my neck. Not a fan.

Unfortunately, I have to go every once in a while because my L4 and L5 discs are shot. He definitely help me but I agree, I'm not a fan of the neck pops although I can tell a difference when he does this.

went for 2 months after a car wreck thinking it would make my lower back/neck feel better. It feels great at first but eventually made me have tender/soreness in spots I've never had before. I stopped going because I got to where I couldn't finish a golf swing. Felt better within a month of stopping.

fwiw, I've heard stories similar to mine from others.

This is my take. After 3 sessions, I didn't notice any real difference except to my bank account. I am sure that it helps some people with certain issues, but I sort of felt like the money would have been better spent on a deep massage.

I started going a few weeks ago. My neck has tightened and lost mobility over the years and I have a shoulder issue he is working on. I can't say anything is worse so I'll continue to go and hope for more improvement.

My attorney sent me and I thought it was a joke. After a few weeks my back began to feel looser than it had in years.

I could lay on that massage table a lot longer than they let me though.

Hate when I hear this. "We need to drive up costs for a bigger recovery and there may not be anything wrong with you, so go to the chiro"

I go at least once a week. We pay a flat fee for our whole family to go an unlimited number of times per month. Our chiro uses an adjusting instrument and starts at the neck and works his way down our spine. If no one is waiting in front of me, I'm in and out in 3 minutes.

I've had back problems (esp. lower back) since my teenage years. Over the years, I just learned to deal with it. One day, about 2.5yrs ago, I threw it out, and was in excruciating pain. I could barely walk. My wife took me to see him the next morning (she was already going), and it slowly got better (although I was still walking gingerly for the next 3 weeks). Since that time, I've made it a point to go at least once per week, and it's made a huge difference. I no longer have chronic back problems. When I feel that I'm starting to tighten up, I go see him, and I'm good for the next week or so.

Everyone's spine falls out of alignment(gets sublaxated) by doing normal, everyday things. The problem is, when you don't get the sublaxations adjusted, your spine compensates for it elsewhere, and it can eventually lead to long-term problems.

I go weekly as well. Used to have awful headaches at least twice a month but now I haven't had one like that in 4 or 5 years.

I get adjusted once a month. I love it. This is the first few months though he's had to work on my neck. It took some getting used to but I trust him to adjust it now without worry.

Anytime I get somewhat sick, cold, slight fever, stomach problem, my neck immediately cramps up and I can barely move it so it's needed.

I looked for you at the little fair/fundraiser a couple weekends ago. Didn't see anyone working there who fit your description. where were you?

To the OP, chiropractic adjustments can be helpful to some people. I went once, mainly because I wanted a quick and cheap x-ray of my neck. Saw that I had moderately degenerated disc at C5. Let the guy do the adjustments, which did feel good, but didn't change that "deep" ache/pain from the disc.

The guy that I go to is not a typical chiro. He doesn't do x-rays or any of that stuff. It's a very simple operation. He's got a table that you lie face down on, and he has an orthopedic adjusting instrument (I think that's what he calls it) that he uses to tap the vertebrae back into alignment. It's a little handheld, gun sort of thing with a pulsating end. He runs his fingers down your spine to check for misalignment, and adjusts whatever's needed. He doesn't accept any insurance plans or anything like that. My sacroiliac joint is what gives me the most trouble, so he usually spends a little more time in that region, but he also adjusts areas that have never really given me trouble before.

Everyone that goes to him swears by him. He's done wonders for my wife and myself. If you're in BTR and might be interested:
