I don't know if it's easily better. The Simpsons in their prime was one of the smartest and funniest shows to ever air, but South Park has been bringing it all seventeen of those years.

Way overrated by this board, he's funny but not even the best character on the show, much less of all time.
South Park has some of the greatest episodes in TV history IMO, and the movie was absolutely epic. The way South Park ties in social commentary in probably the best way of any show I've seen. They do it in a way that you don't even have to know what they're making fun of to enjoy, but if you do know it makes it that much better.
They've had some shitty episodes no doubt, but for a cartoon made in a week they do a pretty damn good job of being consistent
