Video of fight

Also rival gang concerns at the scrimmage
quote:

Two of Ventura County’s most violent street gangs wear the apparel of the Cowboys and Raiders. An Oxnard city ordinance is even in place to prevent gang members from wearing Cowboys or Raiders jerseys within certain parts of the city

quote:

More than 30 officers were at the practice – more than double the usual total – and included military K-9 bomb units, plain-clothes officers in the stands and parole and probation officers who could help identify gang members. Some officers were in bullet-proof vests.

I saw a Chargers vs Raiders game at a Hooter's near my hotel in West Covina, CA. You should have seen the gang related clientele.

I thought Claiborne would've come around by now, but he's yet to make the jump. Sucks. He had all the talent coming out of LSU, but he's busted so far. I'm rooting for him to turn it around.

He's still pretty young. I'm not labeling him a bust yet.

Should we start with all the "busted" Bama guys?

looked way overblown bc claiborne was stepping over him as he got up but it may have been slightly intentional

Claiborne had a very promising rookie season. Then Jones fires Ryan and hires Kiffin and they switch to a Tampa 2 scheme. Mo, and Brandon Carr for that matter, are not zone cover CBs. Mo has never played in a zone scheme either.

The Cowboys switching schemes along with some nagging injuries has delayed his growth. But I have heard that he had a good summer and start to camp. Hopefully he gets it going this season and stays healthy.

And Rivera deserved what he got. He lowered the shoulder and tried to flatten Mo in a controlled scrimmage. Good for Mo for putting him on his arse. 1 of the most physical plays Ive seen from Mo

Raiders came off looking like major bitches in that

Some dude clocks you on a perfectly legal tackle and you start a brawl? Holy butthurt

Looked more like a scrum than a "huge fight." I agree that a little too much exception was taken to a nice play.

Apparently there is a city ordinance in Oxnard that you can't wear Cowboys or Raiders stuff around town because of gang implications. Not sure who thought it was a good idea to have this scrimmage there, a fan tried to hit a player with a helmet as well

Was the guy that got tackled the one that ran up on Mo? I couldn't see the jersey number

I'm not sure why the Cowboys would even want to highlight this on their website.
