the club basically went kaput and started over as mk dons, supporters started a new afc wimbledon, kind of (but not really) similar to the old browns becoming the ravens then the new browns

The owner wanted to act like an American sports franchise. He couldn't get a new stadium in London and the very rich area of Milton Keynes said we will do it. There you have it. MK didn't even have to start over. AFC Wimbledon had to have open try outs and started from the very bottom of English non league football. European clubs just don't move for multiple reasons. Thus causing the hate.
