Compressor is on in the apartment but cool air is not blowing out of the vents on the ceiling.

Something frozen? Turn just the fan on for a while and let it defrost? Repair guy tomorrow, but it's hot as crap-balls tonight. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

IB4:
Ice trays in front of fan,
Sucks to be you,
Going to rapeville,
No OT Baller etc etc etc
We need an a/c board

Check for frozen coils.
If frozen, let only the fan blow, but AC cooling off.
Could be very dirty filter by the blower unit, too,

if the inside fan is running, then it sounds like the thing is frozen up (typically low freon)...

just turn the fan from "auto" to "on" and set the thermostat up pretty high...let the fan pull air across the coil without the compressor running and it will thaw out...

once the air is flowing again, you can drop the thermostat to normal and turn the fan back to "auto".....

Your AC, if like mine, has two large fuses. Change them out. My AC was doing the same as yours. I changed the fuses and now it works fine. They cost about 15 bucks. I hope that works.

Nah. I like them closed. The air seems to blow harder trying to get out the closed vents.

Ok. The ac unit is not making a lot of sound like it usually is. It's just barely humming with a ticking sound coming from what looks like radiator coils. I have the door off.

It's 9:30 at night you know damn well you aren't going to buy any parts tonight. Your bitch arse is going to go to bed, wait for the repair tomorrow and all will be cool again. You know it so just deal with it.
