Rifle: Steyr ProHunter Mannlicher Stainless
Caliber: 30-06
Budget: $500-800
Use: Deer & other game of opportunity (coyotes, hogs etc)
Range: 0-350 yds w/ >90% shots being less than 200 yds
I'm open to suggestions but I really like:
Zeiss Terra 4-12X50
LINK
MeoPro 4-12X50
LINK
Thoughts? Recommendations?

$500-800
Swarovski Z3 3-10x42 w/ 1" tube Riflescope - $800
Zeiss Conquest HD5 2-10X42mm w/ 1" tube - $780
Zeiss Conquest 3.5-10x50 w/ 1" tube MC Rifle Scope - $550
Those would be my three recommendations. The Terra has been discussed on here before and generally has less than stellar reviews. I would always pay for higher quality glass and bigger tubes before putting the same money toward the bigger objective.

I'm thinking about getting a Lucid L5 6x-24 50MM to try out, see what all the hype is about.

What do you want the bigger objective for? It adds weight and not much else...

Field of view.
The rifle is 7.5 lbs naked. Scope brings it to 8.5 lbs which is ideal, for me. The difference of a few ounces between 40/50 mm objective is nil IMO

I like the meoptas.
Also agree on the objective lens being smaller. No need for a big bell on top of a hunting rifle.

How about this one? 56mm obj and 30 mm tube? Seems like a great deal...

I would go with the meopro or meostar. The zeiss conquest is also good.

In your budget I would be looking at these as well...
Thanks! I just ordered one. I have been looking for a scope in this price range as well. The reviews are very good for the Vortex.

I say go Meopta Meostar, Nikon Monarch or Zeiss conquest.

I came here to post that link. I have purchased from eurooptic in the past. I own two of those exact scopes. They're fantastic, particularly in low light situations.
