Got a supplier for my wife's company wanting to take us out to dinner Wed night. Anyone been to any of the restaurants on this year's list yet?

Probably going to find someplace on West side of town, looking at the new Capital Grille in Towne Center, or maybe Smith and Wolensky's.

If someone else is paying for it I'd rather order off the regular menu versus the RW menu. Can't go wrong with either of those two restaurants though.

Ate at Caracol with HungryFisherman and SOs this past weekend off the RW menu.

Food was great. I think I might actually get a little more value off the standard menu and want to try it another time.

The new Capital Grille is great. I think I've been there 4 times. Also right now, they are doing their Wine Tasting deal. I think there are 7 wines on the list and you get to taste all of them. They brought 3 whites and then gave my wife a glass of her favorite then brought 4 reds followed by a glass of her favorite of that. Then the waiter said she could pretty much have as much as she wanted of any of them. It was $25 to do that. Really cool deal.

Probably a lot of tilapia on the menus..........seems to be a staple of restaurant weeks.

Damn, that sounds like a "put it in any hole" kind of night with the wifey.

I've been to Post Oak Grill and it was good as always. Not sure where else we'll be going, though I'm sure Melting Pot with the wife and her friends will happen at some point.

The only place I've been so far is Mr. Peoples in Midtown for lunch. I had Poblano Pepper Soup, Pork Chop, Mac & Cheese, and Strawberry Cheesecake. The pork chop and soup was really good. Everything was average.
