Not a zombie fan, but based on everything I hear about it, it should still be good. Do you need to be into the zombie thing to like it?

I like the first episode the best. Look at it as a survival show more than a zombie show.

The show really isn't about the zombies necessarily, it's about the survivors and how they deal with the new world that they find themselves in. It's been said before, the "walking dead" that the title is referring to is not the zombies, but the survivors.

And don't listen to these guys saying it's boring. There is a reason so many people are watching it.

I stopped watching after 2 seasons or so. The writers treat the audience like they're stupid, they drag everything out and hardly anything ever happens. Also, the acting is terrible.

Yeah.... you need to go watch the last two seasons then.

just skip the 2nd-3rd season...

I love the series and am a big fan, but there are a bunch of pretty awful episodes in this season

it's kinda like the first season of Breaking Bad

It's a good show, but due to it's popularity a lot of people think it's cool to hate it. Don't expect The Wire or Breaking Bad and you may enjoy it.

If I hadn't started late and was able to binge-watch the first couple of seasons, I don't know if I would have stuck with the show. After the first season, there are a bunch of episodes where not much happens to either move the story along or develop the characters, so it can get tedious at times. But overall, it's a pretty good show.

If you're not hooked after the first four or five episodes, it's not worth watching the rest.

It can be at times, but the overall storyline pulls you in.

I'm not a zombie fan and love the show. 2nd season does get a bit slow but is still good. 3rd and 4th season really pick up the action. You wont be disappointed.

You need to answer this question first.

Do you think a moat is an effective defense against zombies?

I like it. I missed the whole second season and went back and watched it all in a whole weekend. You can skip the second season, because only two things happen the whole season and the new characters that are added from the season are completely different in season two than how they are going forward.

Yea, you can definitely skip most of season 2. You won't miss anything. Maybe just watch the last few episodes of season 2 and thank me later.

This. The Wire and Breaking Bad are 2 of my all time favorite shows. The Walking Dead is not I that class, but it is one of my favorite current shows. I think last season was a great mix of action and drama. It has become cool to hate, but. I am still a big fan.
