i've been eyeing a cz75 for a long time, and was going back and forth on what model to get. I was able to pick up a used cz75b for a great price and also stumbled upon a new p-07, so i decided to pick em both up, since i couldn't choose one over the other. Gonna take em to the range today and have some fun.

Can you guys recommend some simple mods for both guns(ideally different mainspring or something similar to lighten the trigger pull).

also, does the upswept beaver tail on the 75sa and sp-01 make that much of a difference in the grip? I'm in california and cz's are extremely hard to come by so I basically have to buy sight unseen. I like 75b a lot but i would look into trading up to one of the models with the upswept beaver tail if it provided a noticeably better grip.

I got the half checkered cocobolo grips to enhance appearance. The trigger gets better with rounds down range

Welcome to the family

I thought this was going to be about cubic zirconias.

I have the cz75 omega and it has the upswept beavertail. I like it a lot! I haven't done any mods to it but we have a custom cz shop here in Louisiana called cajun gun works. They are top notch according to forums.

Let me know how that p07 is. I thought about getting one.

Welcome to the club! Pics are a must.

when my wife leaves ill take the gun out for pictures, she doesn't know i bought 2 lol.

just got back from the range and played with the 75b and p07. i like the ergos of the p07 better(i put skateboard grip tape on as well), but i liked the single action pull on the 75 better. i felt like the better grip i had on the p07 actually gave me less felt recoil than the 75b, but i was still more accurate with the 75b.

Hate to hijack, but what does the OB think about the CZ rifles? Specifically a .270 CZ 557 Sporter?

Never shot. But have heard real good things about the CZ rifles. They are quite purdy too.

I have a CZ 452 American .22 rifle. Love it. Quite accurate for a reasonably priced rifle. I did put a trigger kit in it to lighten the pull.

Good work. I'm sure you'll like both.

Wife and I have CZ-82s and like them a lot. I've been wanting a 75b for a while but I am not sure if I should go omega trigger or not.

Do it. It is great. Single action is improved. A lot of 1911 people like the single action.

the p07 has the omega trigger, but i like the trigger on the 75b better. i would have preferred to get a 75sao but couldn't find one here in California.

I got a cz 75b .40 a few months ago... And love it. 0 issues so far and love the way it feels in my hand. Ergonomics are as good as advertised... Crazy comfortable. And it's very accurate with minimal muzzle flip due to the low bore axis and in-frame slide. . And easy to be accurate with as well... Very natural point of aim. I added the hogue grips on mine as well.

Didn't feel like unlocking all my stuff, but this is identical to mine.

High quality firearm at a great price... Can't beat it.

And I bought some snap caps and would pull the trigger in the evening for a few minutes... After a few weeks of that the trigger eases up and became smooth.
