Just got the equipment delivered for my truck. If anyone does use it, how much do you really save by using it and how well does it work?

I like the idea in theory...but what happens if this is mandatory.

<-- A really good driver.

I was just looking into this the other day. Read up a bunch of reviews. From what I read....people ended up not really saving much money from it. And had troubles with customer service when they tried cancelling the service(first year is free but after that you pay monthly fee).

One said she did get a discount....but what she paid for the service was more than the discount she got.

Yea I just read that it's free for just the first year. It's hard to believe you'd really save enough to keep it longer than a year.

I work for sf and can promise you that it's more trouble than it's worth.

Send it back. You won't save much. I sincerely believe that there is some sort of synergistic relationship btw the company and the inventors of the product. We don't sign up our clients unless they really, really want it.

I just watched some State Farm YouTube videos on it where they said you can save up to 50% on your insurance.

I couldn't help but

Do you plug it into your car?

Just one step closer to the mark of the beast.

Technically, you can.

But there are so many factors into the equation that you would have to reduce your driving from like 10,000 miles a yr to 3,000 and be going only in town at speeds under 35.

Just speak to your agent about your coverages and ways to save money. They're nearly always ways to reduce your premium(s).

Had a somewhat high bill, and just made sure to do little things better like slower turns, and stay under 80 mph. Though I also know people who are good drivers but only save around $20 or less.

If you want to save money on your car insurance, then why would use SF at all?

Probably not.

Either way, I didn't know there were only two auto insurance companies.

Interdasting.

Progressive has had this forever. I did it with my truck back in the day. Saved me like $5 a month. It monitors driving habits as well. Not just mileage.

I wouldn't dream of doing it in the Camaro. I burn rubber and my premium would be jacked.
