My parents have a fridge that is 25 years old. It is currently not their main fridge, but it still keeps drinks in the laundry room. It also spent 5 years in a garage (supposed to be bad). It has never had a single repair. Pretty incredible.

GE made a damn good fridge in 1989.

I have a Kenmore dryer I bought in 1990, large drum and has been great but still works great-- I think the heating element has been replaced two, maybe three times
