Some of those "12 year olds" have moustaches. I'm not saying aliens, but..

I feel like this team has a couple of future college athletes on it

MLB has been trying so long to get baseball back into the inner city. Maybe after all this time they'll be rewarded.

Great game so far. Good to see some black kids playing baseball.

This what's up, wish I knew they were playing.

I just finished reading a book about the Jackie Robinson league that came to the worst part of Newark. Really cool story. It's called A Chance to Win. I really recommend it

Finished the game with 9 unanswered runs to advance. Chi-town to the LLWS

That Illinois team could hit but I wonder if they have the pitching to advance in the LLWS
Seems like the team with the most dominant pitcher always is the team that wins the LLWS
That grand slam was awesome though, crushed the ball to the opposite field on the first pitch

Was that team made up of inner-city kids who come from poverty stricken areas of Chicago or more affluent kids? Serious question as I don't know much about them.

Probably more of the former....

They're based out of Morgan Park here in Chicago. It has nice areas but is not a good neighborhood by any means. From what I understand the neighborhood has had 40 murders the past 5 years. That's not outrageous for south Chicago though
Definitely not affluent. The Jackie Robinson leagues are almost always in tough neighborhoods. The team in Newark that I read the book on is based in one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in New Jersey

How anyone can watch this is beyond me.

About what I figured. Good for them though.
Was a great game to watch.

I turned it on because a Chicago team was playing. Turned out to be a good game

All joking aside, some those kids looked like young men. They were huge compared to the other team. It was a good game to watch.
