I watched the movie last night and enjoyed it. Thinking about picking up the books. Are they worth the time to read them, or should I just wait and watch the remaining movies as they come out?

Reading the books right now, I'm enjoying them (midway through Insurgent now). I'd give it a shot and see what you think.

I really enjoyed the books. The author just released the book Four -- 4 short stories about his character. I loved that book too-- you get to know a lot more about Four. I actually enjoyed this series better than Hunger Games.

Just like with the Hunger Games, the last book and ending is blah.

Completely agree, my enjoyment of the books decreased as the scopes of the books increased.

Still worth reading though.

I read the books as they came out and loved them. The movie was pretty underwhelming to me.

Liked the 1st book a lot, 2nd book was ok, and couldn't even finish the 3rd (yes I know what happens). Just couldn't get into it.

I did spend most of the movie drooling over four

If I was going to write a book, I'd think of a great amazing awesome ending and then write backwards.

Rarely does a book deliver the same excitement in the end.

completion backwards is a viable strategy.

Yep, and I don't even have an issue with what was done, just how it was done.

Haven't seen it yet but it looks a lot like Hunger Games.
