So I'm building a workshop, what else should I put in it?

It's going to be 36'X15'. Half of it will be for a work bench and work island with all the fixins (table saw, drill press, vacuum system, etc. Part will be for lawn equipment, riding mower and a golf cart, closet for water well pump, 1/2 bath. Still have plenty of room. What else would you put in here?

this. we built a loft along one side of my dad's. it is the perfect to store ice chest, cooking gear, hunting gear, empty gas cans, etc.

wire part of it for 220 so you can add a big compressor and welder if needed.

a big window with a mounted attic fan will help move air so you can use stuff that requires a "well ventilated area"

make sure your sink in 1/2 bath is large and deep and see if you can find one that operates with foot pedals.

ceilng mount electrical and air hose access.

radio and flat screen TV

beer cooler.

Lots of electrical outlets and dust collection ducting under the floor if feasible. Add at least one 220 outlet.

Everything he listed.

We had a huge I beam across the ceiling of ours, with an engine hoist on it for heavy lifting. Had to split the tractor in half once or twice for freeze plugs, that was interesting.

Not doing an upstairs, but am doing an open ceiling/exposed joists concept, that has a huge access section cut into it and will deck the joists as needed.

already thought about the 220, big sink and air hoses from ceiling. Will have tv and fridge.

Good idea about ventilation and will research sinks with foot pedals. Thanks guys! Keep em coming!

My next barn will have a place to sleep, kitchen, full bath ,and a giant concrete-steel closet/safe. I will be able to stay out there at night before I go hunting and never wake anyone inside, along with being alone for the night.

Wood CNC. Best tool I've ever had the pleasure of using.

A steel reinforced concrete walk in safe would be a great addition too but the doors are not cheap.
