That's a good list, but I can't stand Lucero for whatever reason.

American Aquarium is solid, forgot to mention them in OP.

Not particularly. Steve Earle is my favorite out of all that I mentioned.

I can listen to drink till we are gone, but just about every other Lucero song I have ever heard has done nothing for me. Not impressed with the singing or anything else to be honest. Different strokes.

Ryan Adams has lots of good stuff...not quite "alt country" but if you like those others you listed you'll love him. also Whiskeytown...his first band.

Lucinda Williams, specifically the Car Wheels on a Gravel Road album. Her other stuff is hit or miss.

Todd Snider
Hayes Carll

You just looking at Alt country or Texas/Reddirt stuff as well?

Good list. I'd add Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley and Trace Adkins.

IMO, after Bingham, REK, Turnpike, Steve Earle, James McMurtry, Old CCR and Reckless Kelly, Isbell, Shovels and Rope, Moreland and Fullbright there is a pretty huge drop off to the rest.

I look constantly, and while I find the occasional couple tracks from another artist, stuff like AA just can't hold my interest.

Jason Aldean

Just heard his new song this morning, which sadly my lady friend seems to like. She normally has good taste. Honestly, one of the worst songs I've ever heard in my life. It's unbelievable how shitty music/artists like this are popular. It includes basically ever new "country" cliche there is, and the lyrics seem to be written by a horny 14 year old.
