Bold Predictions

- Wisconsin vs. LSU in the opening weekend in Houston will be like offensive line porn.

- SEC fans hate this statement, but LSU and Wisconsin have sort of been the same teams, only LSU has had talent. It’s a fascinating early game.

- Wisconsin has no wide receivers and is replacing almost everyone on the defensive front seven. LSU, make a statement.

Game of the Year

Alabama at LSU, Nov. 8 – With some due respect to several SEC teams, this is the game when we’ll all know whether or not Bama is for real. While everyone’s schedule is tough in the SEC, somehow, Alabama’s isn’t that bad over the first two months of the season. There’s a week off to prepare for the road game at Ole Miss, and Florida and Texas A&M are at home. If all goes according to plan, the Crimson Tide will be 8-0 going into the week off to prepare for the trip to Baton Rouge. LSU will have already played at Auburn and at Florida, but even if it has one loss, everything should still be on the line. With all that said, no argument here if you want to ton Rouge. LSU will have already played at Auburn and at Florida, but even if it has one loss, everything should still be on the line.

I don't know why anyone would be upset by having their team favorably compared to Wisconsin, who has been one of the best teams in the Big Ten. Last year was a bit of an aberration for LSU, having a high-flying offense, but yeah, who wouldn't say LSU is a grind it out, defense-first monster? A more talented Wisconsin sounds pretty much exactly right. And it's a nice compliment.

"what do you mean we don't play anyone, we're playing florida this year. it just happens to be after a non winning season. and we made the schedules last year and not like 20 yrs ago. and also happens to be at home. and in september."

I don't want to be compared in any way to Wisconsin.

THey haven't won anything relevant this century. They have only had two seasons this century with less than 3 losses. They've won 1 of their last 7 bowl games, 3 of those losses coming in the Rose Bowl. I'm not going to go into comparing schedules and all to go with their mediocre records.

Don't compare us to them, compare them to us.

i think they are comparing styles and team composition, not results.

doesn't matter.
our style and composition yields better results year in year out. The comparison should be flipped.

WOuld you say last year Auburn was a lot like BYU, just had better talent?
