Probably the best damn Messican dish I've eaten...anywhere. Wear your big boy pants...it's bringing the heat.

Back at ya, pig fornicator.

Well....what's in this legendary molcajete.

What's in the recipe you use?
This one had shrimp, chicken, beef, peppers, onions, and herbs in a rich ,thickened stock.
Your turn.

Is that the before or after pic?

That's a pic that looks like what I had. I didn't take a pic out of respect for Mrs O and laziness.

Like I said...you had soup...served in a molcajete. There aren't any recipes for "molcajete", it's the stone bowl that your food was served in....entiendes?

The Menu
Just listed as Molcajete under "From the Grill". It's not a soup preparation...a very thick stew, capable of being made into a taco. The pic I posted could easily have been the dish I was served.

Is the joint on 165 by the defunct Foxs pizza?
Posted on 8/8/14 at 8:04 am to LSUballs
Yep, and Fox's is back open...for the present time. Go to the Messican joint on Thursdays so you can see Messican Elvis and the bass player that sounds like a donkey. Truth.

Had dinner there Saturday. Seated next to table of 8 Mexicans, half of whom were eating bowl of that stuff. Wondered what it was but figured they knew what was best in a Mexican restaurant. Will try it next time there, which may be lunch today.

I'm partial to the Steak El Jarito at El Jarito (i'm pretty sure the dish was renamed in their most recent menu, but I still order it this way)
Beef tips in a spicy gravy served over a bed of rice.
Motherfricking delicious.
