while people are taking 5th RBs, 2nd QBs, DEF etc is when I would pick him.

8 games of one of the best WR is worth it over a guy who will never start on your team

I saw an article on SI that made it sound like he was eligible for a <1 year suspension. But when I read the whole article it said the appeal was going to end up being all or nothing, meaning there are two possible outcomes-(1) he wins the appeal and is not suspended, or (2) he loses and is out indefinitely but not less than one year.

I think we'll know about his status within a week. Not many drafts before then. If you're in the rare few who will draft between now and then, okay to take a flyer in round 16 if it's easy to drop him after the dreaded announcment comes.

I hate this because I like watching the guy play and would like to see what he might do with a better Browns team. But he agreed to the NFL rules when he signed on and has no one to blame but himself, and, I guess, the anonymous friend responsible for that second hand smoke.

Late. 12th or later prolly.. Certainly no sooner than 11th. But I'd rather take a chance on him than a Jerricho Cotchery or some crap like that.

Of course right now he's likely done for the year. What would be tough is if he were given an 8 game suspension.. because then you have to decide on whether to take him over actual fantasy starters. I could see taking him as high as 4th round in this scenario..

If he's suspended just 8 games he'll go way earlier than you think. Auction price is about $7-6 in a $100 budget

If it were leaked a lil early about the possibility of a reduced suspension, Ida been all over him.

He'll go before the 10th round just because of his name

They could settle still. They just haven't discussed it yet

quote:

Because the appeal hearing officer assigned to Gordon's case can hand down either just a full year's suspension or none at all, it was possible that the receiver and the NFL could agree on a shorter suspension before that verdict came down. According to PFT, there's a "slight chance" that Gordon and the league could work out a deal, but no negotiations have occurred yet.

Gordon's appeal hearing concluded on Monday, and the Browns expect a ruling in one to three weeks. The team expects him to be suspended for at least eight games.

Yes, but it is not likely that a settlement would occur after the decision is handed down.

Every day that passes is one less day for discussions. Once a decision is released, and the loser is declared, there is no incentive for the winner to negotiate.

Josh Gordon is the most explosive receiver in the league. A handful of games with him is worth it. He was the top wr in my league last year and would have been #4 rb based on points.

8th-9th in a 10-team league.

Probably 7th depending on other WRs

If you draft right, you'd basically be getting a top 3 WR in your flex for the final four weeks of the season (plus playoffs). Not many players from rounds 7+ that can do that for you
