I have Cox cable. Is there going to be an additional charge beyond the upgraded sports tier that I already have?

If you get regular ESPN, you will get SEC. It's not even on a special sports tier. The price increase for everyone will come later, no doubt.

Nope.

The SEC Network will be offered on Cox’s “digital essential tier,” which includes 166 channels, including several ESPN options, Cox Sports Television and more. The price of that tier is $69.99 per month. In addition, the SEC Network will be available on the WatchESPN app, Cox officials said.

So you brought it up to cast doubt on unequivocal statements reported elsewhere?

FWIW, the least reliable sources for new features and especially ones that have yet to be implemented are the CSRs you get on the phone.
