About to start watching Aeon Flux; Original Liquid TV Version

The animated series, not the movie. Use to love this show back in the 90s and haven't watched it since then! This, X-Men and Transformers Beast Wars was my cartoon line up!
Anyone else a fan of Aeon Flux? If you've never seen it, do yourself a favor and watch it. It was on MTV in the early to mid 90s. You'll probably notice how much it resembles movies like Matrix, which came out a few years later.

I watched a couple episodes once (on netflix i think a while back.. idk).. I don't care for it, but that's just me..

The shorts on Liquid Television were much better than the series.

It was alright. When it came to animation in the 90s, I was more of a fan of McFarlane's Spawn on HBO.

That's what I use to watch. The shorts on Liquid TV. They were cutting edge for the time. But as I said, haven't watched in years so I'm curious as to how they hold up.

They made it into an actual series of 30 minutes episodes later. I thought that's what you were talking about.

It's like modern shows. If you make it through he first few episodes, it's gold. If you only watch 1 or 3, then it's WTF??

the only real aeon flux is the stuff you saw on liquid television

Agree. I really liked Spawn when I could catch it. But couldn't afford HBO back in the day, so viewing it was sporadic. And Spawn was the late 90s. Aeon was early 90s and may have been an influence on Spawn animated.
IDK, but besides Heavy Metal from the early 80s, seems like Aeon influenced the genre alot.

Agree, which is what I'm referring to.

It's cool, but definitely something I need to be in the mood for. Did the same guy do that Alexander the Great animated series?
ETA: that would be a yes. Reign: the Conqueror

This. The series wasn't good at all.

I always felt like I should have been high when watching Aeon Flux.... and since I didn't smoke dope, I was at a loss.
But she was kinda hot....

Liquid Television was such an amazing show. To this day, my brother and I can crack the other one up just by saying "Zuzu's petals!"
Aeon Flux was gloriously weird, bu Grinning Evil Death was my favorite thing they ever did. What's the matter? Afraid of a little... bug?

I have "the Head" seasons 1-2 on itunes. Liquid TV was one of MTV's best shows.
