I have a rooted Note 3 that was on Sprint. I would like to get it to work on Verizon.
Is it possible? Is there advantages having a rooted phone? I used chainfire's regionlock away and it said it worked. But when I put my verzion card in my sprint phone and it said "invalid SIM"
I saw this article, but I can't get it to work free unlock SIM note 3

i'm not sure. When verizon went to LTE the required a SIM card to connect to their network. Sprint still uses the network for validation. I'm on Sprint, and I roam on occasion to verizon for voice. That part should work. 3G data should work as well, but 4G won't.
With the new unlocking law you should be able to go between carriers IF they have the same frequencies and tech for the cell radios. However, the carriers are still making it a bit difficult to do.
As far as SIM in a sprint phone I thought the SIM was only for international use, not use in the US.

This Sprint phone has a SIM. So you're saying that even though this Sprint phone has a SIM, it work or isn't need it in the US? It's just there for international us, if needed?

yup. CDMA technology allows for the carriers to verify the phone over the network. This is why you have to call sprint or verizon to activate a phone and AT&T and T-mobile just have to move the SIM card to activate a phone.

You can definitely activate a Sprint branded phone onto PagePlus, a Verizon prepaid brand. I just did it with an EVO LTE.
