why didn't Obama pass an amnesty bill while the Dems controlled the House and Senate?

It's not a winning issue... if it was it would have been enacted years ago multiple times

Rush says this every day, its not a winning issue at all

It's only a winning issue for big business and those who stand to benefit

It's not a winning issue, but do you doubt for a moment that the Republicans will back amnesty in some form or another?

Big business would only benefit from highly skilled technical programmers that cost $15-$25K to sponsor to get to America. The low skilled uneducated crossing the southern border are of no benefit to BIG business.

They were filibuster proof for 2 years! He could have passed literally anything he wanted for 2 years.

One year. Scott Brown was sworn in Feb 2010 which is why they had to pass the final Obamacare using through reconcilation or whatever that's called.
