“If we’re healthy, we’re for sure a playoff team,” Gordon told Basketball Insiders. “It’s all about us getting together and playing because the West is tough. We know that and realize that. It’s all about having a full season together. … That’s what we got to see this year; we’ll have a fully-loaded team and it’s about all of us being healthy. It’s crazy to see how many guys were injured this past year.

...“[I’m] just working on my game, trying to get all of my explosiveness back and just looking forward to having a good year.”

Gordon has been in contact with his teammates, and he says that the group will likely get together for some offseason workouts before the start of training camp.

“I would say we’re all getting back into the groove of getting into shape and I’ve been in pretty good shape for a while now,” Gordon said. “I think guys are going to start getting back with each other in the next few weeks before training camp starts here in the next few months.”

I agree w/him. This is the year Davis becomes a legit MVP candidate.

It will be interesting to see how the loathers take his positive attitude.

I totally agree with him. Health and chemistry are the two big issues facing us this year.

Well, this is most certainly a positive development. I like the lack of beating around the bush and speaking in affirmatives. Participating in voluntary player workouts is a great sign. It would be nice though if this jackass could show a shred of humility and tell someone that he regrets the comments he made during his free agency. I don't think he realizes that he could pretty much have the city forgive him if he simply said he handled that poorly. Regardless, I don't care. Show up as 75% of what we thought we were getting in that trade, help us win basketball games, and we will forgive you. Winning cures all. It's not like he's running around beating up women or anything.

yep AD is potential MVP and this team makes it in as a 6 seed IMO

may even win the 1st round of playoffs...I have really high expectation for this team for the first time since CryP3 left

He still makes too much money for his role, but I do think Gordon could put us in a situation similar to what Ariza did with Washington.

Lies. He has never believed in us until now. The healing powers of Eric Gordon's blossoming positive mentality will be the difference maker this year.

I am ready to forgive EG. He can't help his contract at this moment but he can help how much work he puts in in the offseason. If he gets his arse in good shape and actually gets some explosiveness back, we can be scary good.

My expectations for him this year:
17 ppg
3.5 apg
3 rpg
1.5 spg
~65 games (he will miss time but just hope he is healthy for the playoff push)

Give me a break!

You think this new-found "positive attitude" may have something to do with the fact he can opt out after this season? This guy is just dumb enough to think he can get a better deal elsewhere and opt out...please let this happen!

"That's exciting," Williams said of the prospect of being able to play his front-line players for more than just part of the next regular season. "Getting Jrue and Ryan back on the floor, A.D. (Anthony Davis), is stronger, Tyreke, all those guys who missed significant time along with Eric. . . . "

It's hard to think Gordon is in the long term plans the way they talk, or rather don't talk, about him.
