What people where in Tiger Stadium

Why is it that in all the older videos of LSU home games (approximately 2004 and before) it appears that the majority of people are wearing primarily white in the stands but in games inside the last decade (excluding gold games for obvious reasons) it looks like a majority of purple and gold with a few white outliers. It just seems weird to me that it wouldve shifted so much.

Honestly, in the not too distant past, LSU fans were much less likely to wear purple and gold or other LSU apparel to football games.
I'm not sure why that is. Prior to the mid 1990's, if you wore school colors or LSU logos, you were certainly admired for your team spirit, but it just wasn't nearly as ubiquitous as it is now.
