With their newest pricing, I have to say Copper Mill has the best bang for the buck

It's a championship style course, but can be played for less than 40 bucks

Ive always been a fan of the course, but it used to be overpriced and undermaintained

IMO, current management has it headed in the right direction

I thought it was further out. Santa Maria is another one that is pretty good I guess

I think Copper mill is a nicer course than beaver creek or Santa Maria when the condition is decent.

They do need to finally build a permanent club house though. It's only been 15 years or so it feels like.

Haven't been out there in some time

The fact that it's 9 holes doesn't help the appeal for me

20 bucks is cheap though.

I always figured they'd cheap out on the condition of the 9 hole course once the other 9 closed

I played that "course" a couple of times. Both times the same experience. I took my son out to play as he was wanting to try to learn. They advertise it as being good for beginners and families, which is a great idea, except that the price attracts so many that the slower (learning) players get pushed right off. Both times I had twosomes of guys who could have possibly been single digit handicaps stacked up behind us. Between the two times I played it, I probably had to let 7 or 8 twosomes play thru. Fact is there is no way that a beginner who is struggling to get a double bogey is going to be able to play ahead of the pace of a twosome scoring pars on most holes. I understand they can't regulate the type of player that plays it and I'm not asking them to, but what they advertise, and what you actually get out there is not the same.

Depends on the greens condition. I'd have to agree with CM, but it's a good ways for me to go there.

Id call it supply and demand but I doubt brec operates that way
