Is there a font software that will duplicate an old( pre-computer)font style from a scanned document(letterhead from the 30's)? TIA

As in, you want to end up with a font that you can install and use in a word processor?

There is a link where you can upload a photo (with your font included) and it will match it. Not sure what website it was, but it does work.

Yes. Basically the font on the letterhead was design in the 1930's. My boss would like to replace one word in the company title ( which it has morph into over the years) from Manufacturing to Industrial, but in the style of the old letterhead.

Tried that. It didn't work. Thanks anyway.

Well, if an existing font isn't close enough, then someone is going to have to create one. And if you don't have samples of all the letters you need, somebody very talented is going to have to create it.
Font software ranges from cheap to very expensive, and then you need somebody who knows how to use it.

If you post a pic of the lettering and what word you need I can do it for you.
