Resident Evil 1 Getting Remastered For PC & Console

Idk if we have any other RE fans here but RE 1 is one of my all time favorite games. Very exciting news for me.

The remastered version for was incredible at the time. Huge fan of the series, except everything after RE4.

it's getting a bit ridiculous. The transition to HD has a lot to do with it though because standard definition on an HD screen just looks so bad.

man oh man, the memories of resident evil...When I was a kid the playstation and other gaming consoles were setup downstairs in the basement which had no windows or anything. No matter what time of day it was, if the lights were out, it was blackout dark. I could not play Resident Evil in those settings by myself, it was terrifying to me at 13 years old. Loved the game, but never even came close to finishing thanks to zombie dogs scaring the shite out of me at every turn.

I'm pretty sure it is, just in 1080p. Did you ever play it on GameCube? It looked pretty amazing at the time.

If you want a good example of quality GameCube graphics, just play Metroid Prime. Pretty much top notch at the time.

Yeah it looked great at the time but now it's a little dated. FPS's just don't hold up as well.
