Will boxing change its "judging" method ever? After watching some of the decisions in the past 10 years make me wonder if they will ever change the method they use.

Some of the decisions have been just criminal..

what about 2 judges, then some sort of sophisticated computer numbers generated thingamigg as the 3rd?

it will most likely always be a judging sport, because some numbers are truly irrelevant or not effective in determining the outcome of a 1v1 fighting match.

i think you just have to start holding the judges in place extremely accountable.. and actually have a committee truly oversee and judge these judges. i really don't know. ignore me as i am spouting off boredom stupidity.

All fighting sports should be scored 1 way.

Boxing, UFC, Kickboxinf, Judo, etc...

Last Man standing. However many rounds it takes.

The scoring method doesn't need to be changed. The sport just needs to purge themselves of the corrupted sanctioning bodies, which will never happen.

Boxing is doing quite well....and the only way to watch real boxing is via premium television (HBO/Showtime) and PPV. The numbers are pretty damn good.

The numbers on ppv, hbo, and showtime are doing very well and seem to be climbing.

The next two to three years ppv records will once again be broken by a boxing match.

Triple G, canelo, floyd, thurman, manny, etc, all with upcoming events and fights.

If boxing stays on the path with new promoters and new faces it will eventually gain it's momentum again

True, but if they keep making good fights, this won't matter because they can constantly consolidate belts, etc. That's why boxing is doing ok.

What the sport really needs is a non-Klitschko heavy weight. Nobody here gives a shite about Vlad. His style is just too boring given the fact that he's not an American heavyweight.

I think they do a good job scheduling the fights but it could be even better. The longest time people wanted manny vs mayweather and I think it would have happened by now if there wasnt so many divisions and belts. Either no where to hide or force one to challenge the other to be the true champ.

The Klitschko brothers have nearly ruined the heavyweight division.
