That's not the border. Those are check points.

Wait, so the OP wants us to believe that the border is a sieve, but that wasn't even the border?

So an asshat trucker and a dumb checkpoint agent are honest? I think not.

AKA... Legal points of entry into the US and Mexico for people who have a right to enter.

I think the agents at the checkpoints are actually border patrol agents. They actually have more authority to stop vehicles and question occupants at those checkpoints than the border patrol agents who patrol the border.

Appreciate the video, but the poster should have blurred out the face of that agent.

That agent is in for a world of Obama-Jarrett family life arse frickin. No lotion. No reacharound.

Wait, so a checkpoint agent near San Antonio has more authority than someone at the border?

I'm going to need some sort of backup on that, because I currently think you're just wrong.

Same degree of authority to enforce federal law. There is no difference based upon location.

The sad thing is the dismissive attitude of the BP agent. It was like he knew his job did not even matter.

Could it be that he's just a shitty employee? Why do we have to rush to the conclusion that he's a representative example of all BP agents?

From VB's Wikipedia Link

quote:

"Border Patrol agents at checkpoints have legal authority that agents do not have when patrolling areas away from the border. The United States Supreme Court ruled that Border Patrol agents may stop a vehicle at fixed checkpoints for brief questioning of its occupants even if there is no reason to believe that the particular vehicle contains illegal aliens.[4]The Court further held that Border Patrol agents "have wide discretion" to refer motorists selectively to a secondary inspection area for additional brief questioning.[5]In contrast, the Supreme Court held that Border Patrol agents on roving patrol may stop a vehicle only if they have reasonable suspicion that the vehicle contains aliens who may be illegally in the United States—a higher threshold for stopping and questioning motorists than at checkpoints.[6]
