Last night I watched a very disturbing movie. It explained how global warming could heat ocean temps enough to trigger multiple giant water spouts or ocean tornadoes.

These tornadoes would have the power to sweep up 1,000s of sharks into the funnel and deposit them on coastal cities where the sharks would eat all the people.

There was a great live action series out of Japan back in the 70s called Spectreman. At the beginning of each episode they explained that 'man's pollution has created monsters.' Of course, there was no global warming talk back then but they showed video of factories belching black smoke into the air and pouring acidic effluents into the ocean.

Then, with no connecting explanation Tokyo was attacked by Mole/Catfish monster.

A friend at work just told me they were watching sharknado s this weekend and while reminding the eight year old over and over, honey this is make believe and cannot happen in real life, the fifteen year old drops, Yeah this is about as fake as Santa Claus, without thinking.

Needless to say, parents were not happy.

Boy, that brings back memories. In fact, we can go all the way back to 1950 when the monsters were created by man's use of nuclear radiation.
