I was idling out to a spot in Grand Lake with a few guys from work, when all of a sudden a 15lb(+/-) Asian Carp jumped about 5 feet in the air and landed in my lap! It then rolled all over the bottom of my boat while bleeding and absolutely made a disgusting mess. It stunk terribly. After seeing a few other guys idling around, you could def tell that they kinda were everywhere.

I have never had that happen out there, so watch out when you idle to spots out that way.. Would have been bad news if we would have been running for sure.

Same exact thing happened to me Saturday night when we were frogging. Absolutely scared the shite out of me and bled all over the boat before we got it back in the water. They were jumping everywhere and I'm kinda surprised we only got 1 in the boat.

that's awesome. I've done both bows and shotguns. I'm much more effective with the scatter barrel.

Idling in a canal around Reggio, one jumped into the boat, hit me in the leg and started flopping all over the rods on the bottom of the boat.

Scared the absolute frick out of me, made me scream like a little girl and dance a jig until my brain and eyes synced back up and I saw it was a fish.

They are good to eat. No bull. AS said, they look cool when a load of 7.5's hits them, too.

How would you like to be on skis behind a guy on a tube holding a pitchfork? I don't see how anything could go wrong there.

Had one land in my lap running my little 90 wide open one night with a full moon and no spot light on. It scared the crap out me. Boat was a mess by the time I stopped stomping on it and got a light to see what the hell I was fighting with.

It is a white, flakey meat. It tasted good. Was last summer a few jumped on the party barge and I said what the hell since I had the fryer set up. Caught probably 30 over 4th of July this year - they slimed the boat so bad damned blow flies were on it. Give it a try, it is boney though but the small pieces I fried, the bones disintegrated and were edible.

had one about 7 or 8 lbs. land in my boat in Henderson few months back and broke 2 rods before I dispatched it...
there is a move on to get people to catch and sell them in markets and restaurants...they call them "silver fin"...said is sounds better than asian carp...
you can see them under the water like gar...we are looking at bowfishing for them...
