i ain't exactly up in arms about it, but F that S. remove it, charge the contractor the cost of replacing it, tack on a penalty fee for vandalism, replace it, and move on.

no, but if the concrete cracked on the roof when it was being removed, then that could cost substantially more than $3. i'm not suggesting that's likely, but the company takes on a shitload of liability since it was found that at least one of their employees intentionally vandalized the construction project. the financial penalty for that should be fricking substantial, given that the expansion costs $75 million.
