I would like to watch the Ohio St. game from 87! Was in the Navy and got away from the ship and sat in a hotel room all by myself to watch that game with a Large Domino's pizza and 2 liter of Dr. Pepper.

Yes, except 97 AU - the "not run unstoppable Cecil the Diesel on 3rd and 1" game
and 85 Bama- the "Ronnie Lewis #1 gesture game "
Others can watch over again!

Yeah dude I love watching them all, even the losses.

Always enjoy remembering the context and setting of these games.

The intro last night talking about "embattled" LSU coach Dinardo really brings me back to that time. They showed a graphic of his quote:

"I will not politic for a job I already have, nor will I make drastic changes to save a job I have not lost."

I really loved Dinardo for everything he did to reenergize the program those first few years, but 98 and 99 were just so damn frustrating, and his unwillingness to help his own situation was the end of the line for me.

Looking back though, I feel for him and don't begrudge him anything. We wouldn't be where we are today without him and the positive steps he took to bring the magic back.

Just looking at that roster and the guys he left behind was impressive and really laid the foundation for what Saban was able to build on:

Jarvis Green, Howard Green, Johnny Mitchell, Muskingham Barnes, Trev Faulk, Jeremy Lawrence (surprised that Bradie James wasn't a starter???), Charles Smith, Norman LeJeune (forgot he played LB???), Ryan Clark, Clarence Leblanc, Damien James, and Fred Booker (also mentioned Roman's suspension that week for improper contact with agent ).

Even seeing Tepper on the sidelines brings me back, not necessarily to a happy place, but it's nostalgic nonetheless

On offense, seeing guys like Banks and Mealey is always fun, and of course Booty (both of them, Todd Christiansen saying "Booty Call" is priceless ), Jerel Myers, Reggie Robinson, Larry Foster , Dominick Davis, Labrandon Toefield, Joe Domingeaux, Robert Royal, Kyle Kipps (at TE before switching to DE) Louis Williams, Jason Baggett, Brandon Winey and John Corbello were guys that defined that transition era at the turn of the century.

Even seeing Rohan and J Reed on the sidelines gets me pumped for what they are on the verge of accomplishing.

Seeing Bob McConnell up in the box was another one of those bittersweet coordinator moments

Man I'm so glad Miles knows how to get and retain good assistants, and find "other opportunities" for the others

Can't wait to see the rest of these games, especially the 2000 games

Oh, and there is no fricking way MSU scored on 4th and 1. Knee was clearly down

And the Booty pick to seal the deal
