Is Jimmy Graham a bigger "star" right now than Drew Brees?

The question alone is sacrilegious but...

It seems like Jimmy is getting more attention, yes most of it from the TE/WR designation fiasco, but I just saw the SNF commercial and Jimmy was on it - not Brees. He's "newer", younger, and undoubtedly the best at his position in the entire league.

I know in New Orleans and to Saints fans in general that Brees is THE MAN, but it seems that Jimmy is more of a name right now - nationally.

I could see that.

But a lot of it is due to his contract negotiations.

Nope. Both are very well known, obviously, but Brees is the bigger brand. For example, Brees commercial endorsements dwarf those of Graham.

Not a chance. Brees is still without a doubt the face of this franchise. Jimmy is riding off a great season and his contract dispute.

I was thinking about this last night when an NFL commercial came on and they showed Graham rather than Brees.
At this moment in time he is b/c he's easily the biggest named TE in football. But I think at the end of the season, following a SB victory, Brees will take back the majority of media attention (from a national media perspective).

Jimmy is a "star" because of Drew Brees.

The crowd for his autograph when I went to the scrimmage on Saturday was arguably larger than Brees'.

If Brees was taller, he would be a bigger star.
