Directv and SEC Network have agreed to terms

I work in the industry and my source with directv just called me. Said a press release is going out tomorrow with details but the deal is done

If there has been any type of agreement, they have not instructed their employees to pass that information to customers. I was on the phone with DT Sunday night switching out a receiver and I spoke to two employees who both said they were still trying to work out a deal with the SEC Network.

I wouldn't worry about what the employee said. You were speaking with a customer service rep. They are at the bottom of the food chain and wouldn't know

Thanks dallastiger, Great news for me, Ive been with directv for way too long to have switched to Dish at this point in time. You have been spot on with all the information that you have passed on and I really appreciate it. You da Man. Have a great day.

Fantastic. I called on Saturday complaining and threatened to leave for DISH. I told the guy in return for my patience in waiting for DIRECTV to get the SEC Network, I would like to get NFL Sunday ticket complimentary for the next year. He agreed. FYI sending an email does not work. You have to call and advise them you want to disconnect.

dallastiger, since you have been involved in both, why is there the belief that there is a big difference in bills between directv and dish? I have done research and noticed directv is just a tad higher, but not as drastic as some make it seem.
