13 RB's had over 300 carries in 2003. 10 years later, in 2013, only 2 RB's had over 300 carries - LeSean McCoy and Marshawn Lynch.

Will we ever see those numbers again? Do you all see the age of when a RB is considered done to keep getting younger from it's current threshold of age 30?

Of course we will.

This isn't the first pass happy era in the NFL. It's cyclical.

Hell the new en vogue offense in college is the old single-wing and is making its way into the NFL.

Look at the new up and coming QBs. Wilson and Kaep will be the new normal before long.

interesting.

I would have thought Adrian Peterson to have maybe atleast have 300.

but I guess the Vikings found themselves behind a good bit and had to pass more than they would have liked.

2003 was also the last time we've a saints RB put up huge numbers.

Deuce McAllister ran for over 1600 yards and carried it 351 times.

you sure as hell won't see those type of numbers from a Saints back anytime soon with the pass happy offense they have now.

the rule changes have also greatly affected the passing game. its like they are inviting teams to throw the ball more.
