NASA validates impossible thrust drive

quote:

the EmDrive converts electric power into thrust, without the need for any propellant by bouncing microwaves around in a closed container.
quote:

a Chinese team built its own EmDrive and confirmed that it produced 720 mN (about 72 grams) of thrust, enough for a practical satellite thruster. Such a thruster could be powered by solar electricity, eliminating the need for the supply of propellant that occupies up to half the launch mass of many satellites.
quote:

A working microwave thruster would radically cut the cost of satellites and space stations and extend their working life, drive deep-space missions, and take astronauts to Mars in weeks rather than months.

Wow. This defies all known laws of science. It doesn't sound possible, but 3 independent builds and tests say it works.

ETA: Technically, the "laws" of science are incorrectly named. These "laws" only exist due to the first explanations of how objects behave on earth, which we now know to not be completely true due to the theory of relativity. But they are very good approximations because of the existence of gravity on earth.

Yet we'd rather pump money into the useless denizens of society to get votes rather than this kind of shite.
