A 3-1 loss to Chesterfield followed by a 4-1 loss to Groneighen(dunno how to spell it) really is helping confidence

Apparently N#Zog looks raring to go though..thank god

N'Zog had a sick free kick at FC Dallas, but the rest of the team looked absolutely gash. Even in a 2-0 win.

Good luck, young Villans.

The 1-0 win over the Dynamo wasn't very promising either. But we didn't have Vlaar, Delph only played 30 min, and played a ton of guys that will never see the pitch.

It's hard to take these preseason games too seriously, but they haven't been good.

Supposedly Lerner flew in today and has given Lambert a 10mil boost to the transfer kitty.

I still want us to get a creative midfielder in, Kiyotake went for something like 4 mil after we bid 10 for him last year which is annoying.

On FM, I just signed Paul Pogba for Villa, so I wouldnt mind that happening

How many pieces are we, really, away from a solid run?

For any Houston Villans, there's a few of us going to watch the game this weekend at Galway Hooker on Washington.

4 points in 2 games... Feeling positive.

Guzan is 2/2 on shutouts.

Concrete Ron Vlaar will keep the back line playing well.

We have to find a way to score some more goals but so far so good.

Glad someone bumped this. I felt like I couldn't do 3 posts in a row. I was gonna allow it to die if that was what needed to happen, but shite, we are in 3rd place people!!!!

I'm gonna watch the game Saturday before going out to tailgate.

The next 2 months have the potential to be brutal, or could set us up nicely for a top half finish.

13 Sep
Liverpool vs Aston Villa
20 Sep
Aston Villa vs Arsenal
27 Sep
Chelsea vs Aston Villa
4 Oct
Aston Villa vs Man City
18 Oct
Everton vs Aston Villa
27 Oct
QPR vs Aston Villa
2 Nov
Aston Villa vs Tottenham

Be more than happy with 6-8 points from that run, our style suits playing the top teams and with us looking more sound defensively (Okore should be back now too ) I think we will take points outside of the QPR game

Gabby just signed a new 4 year deal with Villa!!!

That'll run him till he's 31. He could end up signing for less then with Villa and becoming a career villan.

I had a Liverpool fan staying with me this weekend for the LSU game....

Man it was awesome to gloat all weekend to him after that victory on Saturday.

Even with Vlaar out, the defense played well. We are playing really well right now.

Well, this 6 game stretch has been about as miserable as possible... Finally pulled my best Aints impression yesterday...
