Ever since I got my G3, I've had this problem only when viewing and replying on this website USING CHROME BROWSER.

First off, I only use the desktop version. Never use the mobile site...

When viewing threads, sometimes I get random white boxes covering large portions of the screen. Sometimes zooming in or out will allow the graphics to render correctly but sometimes it doesn't help.

Also, when replying to a thread, sometimes the text will stop rendering in the text box as I'm typing, but it's still registering. Again, if I zoom in or out, it'll appear.

I'm wondering if the site isn't set to render correctly on this phone's screen resolution size?

Here's a screencap of the problem when viewing a thread. What's weird is it doesn't seem to happen when I'm in the thread listing in each forum... Only when I'm in an actual thread.

Yes, sorry. I am using Chrome. I'll update my OP and I'll also download a couple more browsers and test it.

I've had an S3, HTC One M7 and a Note 2 over the last 3 years and used Chrome exclusively but never had this problem.

I've had the same problem also using Chrome on the S5, in desktop mode. Its sporadic, sometimes works fine. I think it may be caused when there is a gif somewhere in the thread.

OK I'm almost positive its caused by a gif now, as I went to the Android has 85% share thread and have the issue. It never seems to be on the post with the gif itself, but farther down.

I tried Chrome beta as mentioned and it did not resolve it for me.

hmm strange. Try the mobile version of the site and see if that fixes it for you.

Using the mobile version does seem to fix it.

Another variable to the gif in the thread is you have to zoom at some point for the rendering issue to show.

If you just scroll down through the posts without zooming, it doesn't happen.

As mentioned above, I never had this problem on my Samsung and HTC devices.

And it's not just limited to a faulty LG G3. I'm on my 2nd one in 2 weeks thanks to my 1.5 week old one growing legs and taking a dive into the sink this past Monday. It did it on that phone and now my new one.

I don't think it's a gif issue. The page I posted the screen cap from did not have any GIFS on it... Unless there was one on it that I couldn't see because it was "whited out"?

Edit to add: I stand corrected. Maybe that rendering problem is a Gif issue. The page I posted the screen cap from had a ton of GIFS on it. However, that doesn't explain the issue I'm having with my text disappearing in the message box when I'm typing a new message.

Also, I've tried Chrome beta and it did this same problem using that. Main reason I tried it was to see if it would solve this problem.

I don't think it has anything to do with the device but the newest versions of Chrome since we are seeing it on a Galaxy S3 and my Galaxy S5.

My Galaxy S5 didn't have the issue 6 weeks ago when I first got it so I believe it started happening when Chrome was update a couple of weeks ago.

I haven't noticed a text disappearing issue but I rarely post. I haven't had that issue in this thread but that's a small sample size.

Posting this post from Dolphin Browser. I first went to the page from the screen capture I posted earlier and it loaded and rendered perfectly. No blank white spaces.

And now, as I'm typing this, no disappearing text...

Now that you mention it, I do remember a somewhat major update to Chrome a few weeks back.

Looks like I'll be using Dolphin for a few weeks until Google can fix the issue on Chrome.

Why use the desktop site? It's a pain in the arse.

Same issue on my Nexus 5 and 10. It has to be Chrome, there are reviews in the Play Store talking about the same thing on other sites. Hopefully they see it and get it fixed soon.

It is a Web browser after all so it should at least do that correctly.

Because I like to see users avatars. Makes it easier to tell who's replying when scrolling down the screen. Especially if I'm looking for or aanticipating someone's reply

same issue on my Moto X using Chrome Browser. This might be something to post on the Help Board and see if Chicken/Circus Child can do anything about it?

Coincidentally I had this problem yesterday. There were white blocks on the screen like your ss shows.
Hasn't happened before and didn't happen again after I just reloaded the page.

Android...

I guess my biggest question is why is this only happening on Tigerdroppings.com for me?

I can be on Tumblr all day looking at GIFS and not have this issue once!

Is there something admin can do on the Tigerdroppings end?
