What's the scoop on this Florida lobster mini season?

Has anyone ever done this? It looks frickin awesome. Where on the coast is all of this happening and where do these lobsters hang out? Been seeing a bunch if pictures and am now interested.

I think it's mostly the southeast like pompano beach and the keys.
I don't know much more than bring a "tickle stick" and a ruler. You find them under/around rocks and in holes. GJ is pretty tough on all the regs

Done it many times, almost went this year, but we are headed down for when stone crab is in season as well, this year.

its just easier in south florida because you can get them in much shallower depths and there are more of them, but they are everywhere. I think there is a guy on the board who dives for them in LA.
