Agree. Maybe a small deal for sipp but I don't see them moving a starting pitcher without a serious haul in return and I don't think any team will give that up. They are all young cheap and under control

I would not trade carter at this point. he is still young has elite power and is a perfect DH. What would you expect in return for CC?

I agree Ryno. Trading Carter right now just doesn't feel right. We won't get much return for him this year

Fundamentally he's a terrible hitter and I feel like he could fall off the ledge at any point. They probably couldn't get anything though so I guess it's not worth it.

I can see us trading Cosart, McHugh or Sipp. Luhnow has said he would rather add a bat than trade one away

I know Cosart can be a douchenozzle, but I do not want to start dumping talent within the rotation.
I'm fine with moving Jabroni because he doesn't factor into our future as much as the others.
ETA: I'd really rather not move Sipp either. He has been the one beacon of consistency out of the pen this year

he has an insanely low BABIP this year which means he has had a lot of bad luck. he's due some positive regression. His OPS is ok at his point compared to a lot of the dead weight on this roster.

Yeah I would rather they not trade Cosart even though I hate him. Unless they can get a good haul. I'm just not nearly as confident in the young pitching currently in the minors as I am the position players.

Yeah Triple A pitching needs a little more work before they're ready to step in. We all saw that with Buchanan & Owens earlier this year.
