Some of you might have heard of the Colt 'snake gun' revolvers that were produced at various times through the years. This thread will offer some very basic information on the guns.

There are 7 different snake guns:

Python (.357, .38)
Diamondback (.38, .22)
Cobra (.38, .32, .22)
King Cobra (.357)
Boa (.357)
Viper (.38)
Anaconda (.44, 45)

Pics:

Python

Diamondback

Cobra

King Cobra

Boa

Viper

Anaconda

All of these guns are out of production...

Last episode of Gun Stories was on the Python. Joe Mantegna blows, but some very good guests.

I watched the whole thing last night

Great episode

And Joe Montaneo reminds me of Water Boy. The way he says his name, not the actual guy

He looks really awkward shooting. Almost as bad as the American Rifleman ginger.

Jim's has shot shells. Was in there Tuesday and they have for a lot of calibers except 22.

I have always been an S&W revolver fan but would love to have a Python just like the one pictured. One of the finest production revolvers ever made IMO.

Why does the Cobra have that different look behind the trigger? I have always hated the look of those with that big gap.
