I have an 8:30 meeting Monday morning so I am not going to be able to stay in my normal hotel in the Dallas area, so need some recommendations for a Ft Worth hotel near downtown. Any suggestions that may have good restaurant options around?

The Omni is downtown and has a Bob's Steakhouse in it. It's a nice place.

Stockyards Hotel. Go sit on a saddle and drink a beer at Booger Reds. Dine at Lonesome Dove Bistro.

if you're staying downtown the have the typical fare of nice(not many though,) hotels, staggering distance, or a short cab ride to everything there is to see in downtown FW

neat place to stay. Wife and I stayed there for the NCHA Futurity last year (or maybe year before). Anyway, its not your typical hotel and well worth it IMO.

yep, I wouldn't recommend that, if you have to go see the stockyards, the nicer hotels are just minutes away
ETA: forgot, the Flying Saucer

Looks like an Embassy Suites is in walking distance to there and a bunch of other places on that street.

Downtown fort Worth gives you TONS of options. All within walking distance. Stay at omni. Get the chicken fried steak sandwich. The bread to make the sandwich is actually something like 12 dinner rolls.
Downtown has really blossomed the last three years. Very nice area for locala and tourists.

Thanks for all the opinions. Glad to not be staying in Dallas.

That is for Tuesday night

My biggest thing is that I like being able to walk to places and many cities don't give you a very good option for that. Looks like FW does.
