What are you guys looking for during the preseason games for fantasy. Other than how depth charts are panning out. I seem to be pumped every year then get really bored halfway through preseason

It's a cock tease. Main players don't play that much until the third game. The first week starters may see 1-2 series.

I like it but it's Catch 22 sometimes. You'll have a sleeper you like a lot then he might catch a few TD passes during the preseason and all of a sudden he shoots up draft boards

Nothing at all. Maybe a couple players that I have my eye on heading into my draft, but that's about it. I'll watch the Saints 3rd game, which is usually nationally televised, but don't really put much stock into anything I see. I remember a few year's ago DB Johnny Patrick looked like he was going to be a stud based off his rookie preseason performance. Dude turned out to be a bum and has now since been on 2 or 3 different teams. Can't look into preseason really at all. They really should cut it to either 2 or 3 games, imo.

I remember Victor Cruz tearing it up 4 years ago in preseason. He wore #3 and was a beast that preseason. He didn't do much that season, but was a beast his second year.

I'm looking forward to watching some of these rookie wide receivers for potential keepers and late season bye week fill ins

Besides scouting the back ups to see anyone who might emerge in case of injury, seems like there's always some hidden gem who comes out of nowhere in preseason. Here are two examples:

1999-Washington announces in last preseason game that Stephen Davis is going to start over Skip Hicks, the projected starter. I nab Davis in the 13th round after Hicks goes by the 3rd. Championship.

2008-all I hear during a Broncos preseason game is how much the coaches love rookie Eddie Royal. He seems kind of small to me, but what do I know. I take a flyer on Royal in the 16th round. Royal has 980 yards and 5 touchdowns. He was on my bench for the first game, of course, and blew up with 9 catches, 146 yards and a TD. Everyone thought I was a genius.

Doesn't happen every year, but when it does . . .
