Of course, they weren't told not to eat leavened bread in front of Jews during Passover, or not to eat meat in front of Catholics during Lent.

Who fricking cares if it's their religious holiday?
Oh that's right, Obozo cares. BTW has he been eating during daylight recently?

let's just make this 100% honest

i mean its just considerate.
I personally want to murder everyone i see eating during Yom Kippur.
Of course that normally when its on Gameday, and I make up for not going to temple by going to a tailgate where i can't eat or drink.

From the link:
Doesn't sound like an order. frick that guy.
quote:
I’m asking you to be considerate and do not consume food or drink in front of our Muslim colleagues; it is a simple, yet respectful action.”

Lets not separate Muslims and religion.

I have no problem with this.
It's not like every Muslim our military works with is a terrorist-in-waiting and this is some progressive BS to not offend their sensibilities. It's just a respect thing.
I guarantee you there are companies who do business in Islamic nations who tell their employees the same thing.

I'm going to be a nice guy and send the local mosque a couple dozen bacon lovers pizzas during prayer time every day during Ramadan.

Most are forced to. We have an office in Saudi and the same applies.

The United States Government and Companies are not the same thing. Being in an Islamic country and being in Maryland are not the same either. It's a terrible comparison.

Well, the article doesn't do a very good job of clearly explaining what is going on here.
I only have this excerpt from the email to work off of:
quote:
“I’d like to encourage you to learn just a little more about this religion, but more importantly, I’m asking you to be considerate and do not consume food or drink in front of our Muslim colleagues; it is a simple, yet respectful action.”
"Colleagues" can mean a lot of things here.
Individuals from Islamic countries who are on base? U.S. military personnel who happen to be Muslims?

Clearly you are not deployed to Al Udeid AB, no bacon or ham, the TCNs won't make it for religious reason.

Because only the "religion of peace" will kill you for not following their holiday requirements.
