Do they add anybody? Bullpen? Starter? 1B?

I think that if they are serious about making a push this year, they have to go grab a starter but it sounds like Colorado is gonna hold on to De La Rosa and there is no way they give the Red Sox the prospects they would ask for just to get 2 months of Lester. Bullpen arms like Andrew Miller or LaTroy Hawkins might help, but I just don't see them beating the Dodgers, Cards or Nationals starters in a 5 game series with the current rotation as shaky as it is.

I'm thinking they should just stand pat, hope Cole comes back off the DL strong and Liriano gets better. MAYBE get a WC and just enjoy that or finish a decent 84-78 and shoot for next year.

Thoughts?

"Next year" has been their mantra for the past 20 years. Time to cash in some of those chips, go for it, and create a winning culture again. They're two games back and should be doing everything they can to improve.

Waiting for next year has gotten pretty damn old. If I were a Pirates fan, I would feel embarrassed if no moves were made to help them win now.
