As you guys know, I lurked your draft pretty hard. Some solid drafting with some of the best FF minds the board has to offer.

great idea by Gyno to start this league as an early/slow draft. I'm sure I'm not the only one lurking the thread in preparation for their personal drafts. so without further adieu, here's my take on the 2014 FSB Regulars league draft...

Rank/Owner/Draft Grade
12. Lester Earl - D
11. Mr.WiseGuy - D+
10. GynoSandberg - C-
9. GMoney - C
8. DCB - C
7. CETiger - C+
6. Dro - B-
5. Loose Cannon B
4. Bham B+
3. Drew Orleans B+
2. PCT A-
1. Tots A

Gyno's Breakdown
Fantasy Board Regulars: Draft Grades
Biggest Draft Reaches

quote:
1. Julian Edelman
He was a volume catch guy in an offense that lacked it's main weapon, Rob Gronkowski. Will Brady force feed Edelman now that Gronk is back and +1 year in the system for Dobson and Thompkins? Amenola looms. Won't be a terrible player, per se, but would have been available a round or two later

quote:
2. Ryan Matthew
Just a load of meh. What does this guy do? He's carries the load in between the 20s while we watch Woodhead get goal line carries and catches. Enter Donald Brown and his fat contract, and where does that leave Matthews? And we haven't even started on his injury history. He goes in round 4 where many other quality players were still available.

quote:
3. Khiry Robinson
As Saint fans, we all love this dude's potential. But even Lester will admit, he went 2-3 rounds too early.

Best Draft Values

quote:
1. Roddy White
Must toot my own horn here; White goes from a top 20 player taken the past year or two and drops to pick 40. What has changed? Not much, except for more targets now that Gonzalez is retired. Roddy proved he hasn't lost anything after carrying teams to titles at the end of last season. While Julio has the upside, Roddy lines up all over the field and remains Matt Ryan's security blanket.

quote:
2. Eric Decker
I know people think that the NYJ's QB situation is grim, but you have to love Decker here at pick 77. He is the only option, sure, but we have seen only options flourish just by sheer volume alone. I also hear positive reports on Geno Smith. I like the upside here late.

quote:
3. Reggie Wayne
Another MWG pick; I actually like Decker and Wayne better than his first two WRs Fitz and Torrey Smith. Wayne coming off injury doesn't really worry me as he lost a step over the years and was still productive. 80 catches at pick 92 is nice value.

Best Overall Drafts

quote:
1. MWG
Obviously I like his value picks, as noted above. Being able to pair Martin with Lacy in RD 3, along with Rodgers was a nice start. Joique is a solid flex option. Do not like Fitzgerald or Torrey Smith, but the Decker/Wayne pick makes up for it. If he would've went different on those two WRs i think he would've hit a HR

quote:
2. Bham
Even though I hated the Matthews pick, I think he did well. McCoy and Bell form a solid PPR RB duo. I think Cobb and Patterson both take another step, so I am ok with those WRs. If RG3 returns to form, his team will be formidable.

quote:
3. Lester
I didnt really like the way he went about forming his team, but in the end, it is solid. The two headed monster at WR will be nice points every week. Alfred Morris is solid contributor; Darrel Young and Roy Helu vultured 6 goal line TDs from him last season! I think Vereen is a RB1 in PPR, that was a nice value pick. I love Golden Tate in DET's new offense and Tony Romo is a steal at 108. He had some really shitty picks (Dri Archer, Khiry, Cole Beasely) but I don't really care about depth as much as others.

Worst Overall Draft

quote:
1. Gtothemoney
Welcome to the show, rook! This team's mascot should be The Riddler, because it's full of question marks throughout. Lynch with the age/holdout, Edelman, Cruz and that offense, Gore is geriatric, MJD in age/OAK, Mike Wallace, Boldin... man, I just don't care for any of these guys and will not probably own any on my 5 teams this season. However, Peyton Manning can keep teams in games, and I love the value on Jordan Cameron. Other than that, Im hard pressed to say I like anything about this team.
PS You will win the league

The rest of the teams are par for the course, IMO. Sorry G$

Marle's rankings

1. Drew Orleans

I like how he got value all the way around. Antonio Brown was a great one to pair with Forte. Reggie Bush & Welker are viable PPR players. Amendola has big upside if he stays healthy. Brady will rebound. Vernon Davis at TE. Top to bottom, the best team as of now.

2. BHAM

I really like the Randall Cobb pick, I think he has a huge year. Leveon Bell & McCoy are a great PPR pair at RB. Ryan Matthews was a steal based on what he did last year. Im buying Cordarelle too, I think he emerges. Riley Cooper is a nice sleeper in 14', imo. If RG3 rebounds, this team has no weakness outside of TE.

3. Team Dro

At 3 is where it gets murky for me. This team potentially could have a huge big 3, in Stafford, ARian, and Calvin Johnson. I think Richardson rebounds too. If Maclin can stay healthy, he has WR1 potential. Julius Thomas at TE looks to build on his great 13'. I dont think his bench fills out well besides Terrence Williams, but the starters are good.

4. GMoney

If you're in love with players that used to be studs, but are still good, this is your team. If he gets the Marshawn Lynch of the last few years, you're looking at Peyton, Lynch, and then 4 really solid(not great) options. Cruz, Edelman, Boldin, & Mike Wallace. If CLE leans on JOrdan Cameron like they did last year, he may go over 1k yards.

5. Lester Earl

already posted why

6. Big Gyne

I feel like he is just steady all around. I share his sentiments over Kaep. Poised for a big year. I feel like he was able to nab a few guys people just forgot about. Roddy White? Getting older but still has big potential. Jeremy Hill is bound to get carries in Cincy. Tavon Austin has a ton of upside. Hakeem Nicks, Stevie Johnson...former really good WRs in good situations. Top to bottom, tons of value.

7. PortCity

If Luck is truly the stud i think he is, he should take the next step this year. Murray is a guy that always scares me, but he shows out when healthy. I dont love Keenan Allen or Hilton, but they are solid. And like Gyno, Port was able to put together a pretty damn good bench of proven guy, and ones with upsdie.

8. Team CE

I cant ignore this team anymore. It has the chance to be really good, but at the moment im not in love with the RB situation. Dont tell the feminists, but i really like Ray Rice this year. He can't just be that bad overnight, can he? Kendall Wright is solid, and Hopkins could be a big sleeper in year 2. I thought the Robert Woods pick was solid.

9. Team Tots

Maybe the most intriguing team to me. Is Nick Foles and the Eagles for real? Toby Gerhart? In JAX? White power! CAn Gronk and Harvin stay healthy? Will Flyod over take Fitz? Can he get anything for Rivers? Tons of upside here. I just dont know at the moment.

10. Mr WIseguy

It really is hard ranking a team like this so low. I like Rodgers and the RB combination, but the WR's(based on last year) are meh. HOWEVER, i could see both of those guys rebounding. Joique fills the stat line with catches, so he's solid. If someone can get the ball to Decker then it will ease my earlier concern. Im just curious how he will fit in with a shitty QB as the #1 option.

11. DCBJR

Again, I like his team too. I love Crabtree this year, and I think Matt Ryan bounces back. But I thought he lost value at the point in the draft when he took Stacy and Sankey. Really like the Ertz pick, and Bowe/Sanders are nice WR options on the bench.

12. LooseCannon

Not the worst team talent wise, just the most questions. Cam Newton with no WRs? WTF is Belichik going to do with Ridley? Has age caught up with SJax and Colston? With that being said, Newton will prob keep him afloat with his running. Jimmy Graham is a stud, and Andre Johnson is still a baller. If he gets anything from Ridley or SJax, then obviously this team is much better than 12. But right now, a lot of my rankings depend on who has the most question marks,

12. Lester Earl
Likes: Love what he did at the turn of the first. Marshall is a PPR monster and I expect Julio to dominate this year. Also locked down the league’s top D in Seattle.

Dislikes: Vereen is a PPR monster, but still RB2 IMO. Morris is a below avg RB2 in this format, but when you go WR/WR at the turns it’s what you end up with at RB. Did not like the Cooks pick (prefer Stills right there) and he could have scored Khiry 2-4 rounds later.

Overall: I think it’s going to be an up & down year for Marle. The Romo + Witten will lead to inconsistent play. If he’s confident in his WR depth he could move one of his WR1s for help elsewhere. All in all he’ll have an uphill battle to make the playoffs. Draft Grade: D

11.MWG
Likes: killer RB core. Anytime you can slot a Doug Martin into flex, you’re in good shape. LOVE LOVE LOVE Joque this year. Aaron Rodgers should bounce back and I like combo-ing him with Lacy,

Dislikes: WR core has question marks. Will Larry continue to be the #1 in Arizona with Floyd nipping at his heels? How will Decker transition to a new situation? Also the TE situation is a mess.

Overall: If he can find quality play from a couple WRs he could contend. He’ll be relying on A-Rod and the RB core to carry him most weeks, however. Fantasy football is the easiest game to recover from a tough draft, and I’m sure MWG will be active on the wire… but just on the draft.. Draft Grade D+

Fitz is sooo good. It's a shame he's rotting away in Phoenix.

I like what CE and Tots did. Dro's only mistake was reaching a bit on stafford, looks like there were still some good WRs left then, other than that solid draft.

LE will need some of the WRS to pop so he can move one for a RB

That team has a hell of a lot of potential with the WRs. Fitz, Torrey, decker, Wayne can all put up solid numbers.

Damn I like Drews team the best

Brady
Forte
Bush
Brown
Welker
Djax
Vernon

That's a scary lineup, any player can go off at anytime

10.Gyno

Likes: Jesus, the Marle brothers have the WR spot on lock. Dez, Garcon & Roddy form a killer WR core.

Dislikes: Not sure I would have went so deep into WRs. I believe he picks 4 WRs to close out the draft (while already rostering 5). I would have went after quality depth at QB,RB,TE, bc he is below average in each.

Overall: Gyno will definitely need to leverage his strength at WR to improve the rest of his team. Being the Walt Jockety of the FSB I’m sure he’ll have no problem doing this, but based purely on the draft... Draft Grade: C-.

I kinda agree with the Honk. My projections put your starting lineup at 1766, which is below average.
But I also think guys like Tate and Romo outperform their projections.

But I can't FAP to your depth at all, especially at RB.
