Concerns about linebacker recruiting.....

In a couple of years we're going to have a serious lack of depth at the linebacking position. Guys like Welter,Louis,Feist are all going to be gone. Looking at our depth chart for the 2016 season I see very few underclassmen. Even Kendall Beckwith, who's currently listed as a sophomore, will likely be gone by then. Are we recruiting any this year? I doesn't seem like it. Replies appreciated. Thanks.

CG will play all 3 by himself

I know we are the favorite to land keion Joyner in 2016 who is a top 5 overall prospect and michael divinity who is a 2016 4*

We will take a couple this class and load up next year

It doesn't look like we're in great shape for any of the guys currently offered specifically at linebacker.
Outside chance at Leo Lewis, and even worse chances for the rest.
HOWEVER, Kevin Henry may be bulking himself up into LB territory. We seem to be doing well with Jaason Lewis, who could also be a linebacker. And we're keeping a careful eye on Arthur McGinnis as well.
And there could be an under the radar guy that pops up through the season.
ETA: So, while on the surface it looks bleak, I'm not worried.

were the favorites but a year away so a lot can change. I believe Sione can play DE and OLB. I think we must take atleast 1 sure linebacker this class, along with Kevin Henry who is pretty versatile

That sounds like a Rob Ryan formation.

So youre thinking a couple years into the future.... we will sign LBs by the 2016 year. Dont worry buddy.

We're going 6-1-4. CG is the 1.

I think Kevin Henry will eventually be a LB

Not to mention that some of our larger safety/athlete recruits have a great chance of ending up at LB

What happened to the steam we had going with Terry Beckner Jr?
Did Leo Lewis ever make it to town/camp? If so, any updates on his trip?
Also along the same lines, did CeCe enjoy his trip and put us in the running? Definitely like that he is looking at the bigger picture and dropped the whole package deal with Cowart.

OP has a legitimate concern. I also find it strange that the position our DC recruits has like no names on the board. Next year we lose a lot of depth and if we don't take a couple this year, we are back to playing true frosh in 2016. I think beckwith winds up at DE too. I don't see any current DBs moving to that level either.

i think chavis knows what he is doing
my thoughts are, we take Mcginnis and 1 or 2 more quality 4 stars this year. we will have plenty of depth
and if kevin henry sticks on this class, he will play lb

Kenny Young man.
I don't usually complain about missing on recruits, but missing on Kenny Young hurt.

Kenny seemed like he would make a great OLB
