Love seeing people predict NEXT year players won't cut it... it's the same people saying Josh Gray was the 2nd coming and TQ needed to transfer. And the same people saying start TQ over JG now. Slow the hell down. Guys ranked where Elbert and TQ were are known to take time, especially when they aren't national circuit guys in HS. Darcy was even further away so it'll take even longer. SLOW DOWN. Bridge, well... unless he can develop into a 3 or grow 3-4 inches, he'll always be super limited at this level. Either way, he can still develop into a better player each season (he played on the national circuit so there may be less of the angle of developing).

We trying to be a elite team not a average team. You can't have a team with 3 or 4 players taking two to three years to develop that's actually getting quality minutes. We need players that can compete at a elite level in the first or second year. I like Darcy and Bridgewater but they are not good D1 players. If you watch the games you can see that the other players don't even trust passing the ball to them in the post so how can we have a inside game if we can't past the ball to 7 footers to score. They give good effort but imagine if they gave us scoring and solid defense where this team would be.

You really need those 2 or 3 year players to be a solid team, it's called depth. Not everyone is Kentucky

I keep trying to explain to everyone. We can not be Kentucky. We have to strive to be Florida. You get your long term players and sprinkle in 1 and 2 year guys each class. Keep a balance and have the veterans on the roster who have been through it. Kentucky is not the norm, that is a special circumstance. Even UNC, Duke, Louisville require vets who play little early in their career but develop. That's why you have guys like EM, Leonard on the staff to develop the raw guys.

Exactly. You have to have both. It is essential for us and I think we are working on that. Players like Patterson will be 4 year stars. We will find them, though this class may be too filled up to have any.

That's how you do a 1,000th post

I really hope Lyle comes here. His passing is insane for a kid his age and his size. I've noticed the more I watch Simmons also, the more I see that same passing instinct.

I just keep dreaming in my head that M&M return next year. We need at least 1 to return

Blakeney's double OT game from last night just starting on CST. He was wearing his LSU shirt in warmups.

He's easily become one of my favorite recruits in this class, and he still would be even if he wasn't coming here.

The amount of work he puts in for a kid his age is so impressive and is going to pay him back tenfold

Malik Newman isn't going to LSU. We haven't been involved since Robert Kirby left LSU.

We better goddamn well make Jaquan Lyle the first priority right now because we don't have a legit point guard and without that this team will go nowhere next year even with the best two players in the country and whatever the hell we bring back
