I am trying to decide on a new truck... either a 2014 Silverado or 2014 Lariat. Does anyone have any experience with both vehicles? Also I am thinking the best deals would be in Houston. Would it be more advantages to wait until November? Or would August show pretty much the same incentives?

I'm liking the Tundras and Sierras. I would actually take any of the trucks nowadays.

Yes, Ford will be pushing those 2014's out with the new redesigned 2015's coming in.

I'm not sure how long it will be before they start offering big rebates on them or if it will be within your purchasing timetable. If you can wait till then it would be most beneficial even if only to use it to negotiate with the dealerships of the other makes.

Hope you like gas stations too. Tundras don't like to pass them up.

Most Ford dealers are already offering $10-12000 off of 2014 f150.

Agree.
That'll be the deal of the day.

Ford’s new aluminum-bodied 2015 F-150 is dropping hundreds of pounds, but may make your wallet only slightly lighter.

Pricing for the pickups was announced today, with entry level XL and XLT models costing $395 more than the 2014 trucks, at $26,615 and $31,890, Reuters reports.

The increase varies across trim levels, with premium King Ranch trucks seeing the biggest jump of $3,515 to $49,460, and the top of the line Platinum now starting at $52,155, $3,055 more, but Ford says all trucks come with a higher level of standard equipment.

Dealers can begin ordering trucks today, but they don’t go on sale to the public until the fourth quarter of this year.

I've seen that just worried they may have much better deals as the new year approaches. But then selection might be sacrificed.

I appreciate it. The new f150's do look legit. Hopefully they will create some great deals.

Fords "Truck Month" will be September and October. There are typically larger incentives when they have these national sales pushes going on. Also, I know each dealer will have a set F-Series truck sales number to hit matched with an incentive for the dealer. This is rarely done with Ford, so dealers will be pushing volume.

14 F-150s won't get scarce until the end of the year. All dealers got a huge wholesale number to fill this month.
